Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 13, 2026

Welcome to USCIS Translation Service. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the USCIS Translation Service website and the translation services provided through our website.

By accessing our website, requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

In these Terms, “USCIS Translation Service,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the service provider, while “you,” “your,” and “client” refer to the person or organization using our website or purchasing our services.

1. Our Translation Services

USCIS Translation Service provides professional translation services for immigration, legal, academic, medical, financial, business, personal, and official documents.

Our services may include:

  • Certified document translation
  • Immigration document translation
  • USCIS translation services
  • IRCC translation services
  • Legal document translation
  • Academic document translation
  • Medical document translation
  • Financial document translation
  • Personal and official document translation
  • Rush and expedited translation services

The services, pricing, turnaround times, and delivery options available may vary depending on the document, language pair, document quality, complexity, and service selected.

2. Placing an Order

To place an order, you may be required to upload your document, select the source and target language, select a service, provide your contact information, and complete payment.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The documents you upload are readable and complete.
  • You select the correct source and target language.
  • Names, dates, spellings, and other information provided to us are accurate.
  • You have the legal right or authorization to provide the documents for translation.
  • Any special requirements or instructions are clearly communicated before translation begins.

We may contact you if additional information, clarification, or a clearer copy of your document is required.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Our website may display pricing for commonly requested translation services.

Our standard advertised pricing may include:

Standard Translation:

$16 /page

Rush Translation:

$26 /page

The final price may vary depending on the document, word count, language combination, complexity, formatting requirements, additional services, or other requirements associated with the order.

Prices displayed on our website are subject to change. Price changes generally apply to new orders and do not affect an order for which a price has already been confirmed, except where additional work outside the original scope is requested or required.

Additional services may carry separate charges.

4. Payment

Payment must be completed using an available payment method provided through our website or otherwise authorized by us.

By submitting payment, you authorize the applicable payment provider to process the amount associated with your order.

You agree not to use fraudulent payment information, unauthorized payment methods, or payment accounts that you do not have permission to use.

If a payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or otherwise not received, we may suspend or cancel the associated order until the payment issue is resolved.

5. Translation Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided for convenience and may depend on the document, language pair, file quality, document complexity, order volume, translator availability, and selected service.

Turnaround times may be affected by:

  • Poor-quality or incomplete documents
  • Missing pages or information
  • Incorrect language selection
  • Changes requested after translation begins
  • Additional formatting requirements
  • Unusual or highly specialized documents
  • Delays in receiving necessary information from the client
  • Technical problems
  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control

We make reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery times. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service, an estimated turnaround time is not an unconditional guarantee.

6. Document Quality and Client Responsibility

The quality and completeness of the source document may affect the quality, accuracy, and formatting of the translation.

If a document contains unclear text, handwriting, damaged sections, missing information, unclear stamps or seals, or other content that cannot reasonably be interpreted, we may contact you for clarification.

We are not responsible for errors resulting directly from:

  • Illegible source material
  • Incorrect information contained in the original document
  • Missing pages or content
  • Incorrect information supplied by the client
  • Incorrect names, dates, or spellings supplied by the client
  • Changes to the source document after translation has begun

Where appropriate, we may request clarification before completing the translation.

7. Revisions and Corrections

We aim to provide accurate and complete translations.

If you identify a genuine translation error or omission within the scope of the original order, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery.

Where an issue is determined to be a genuine translation error attributable to our work, we will generally provide a correction or revised translation at no additional charge.

Requests involving new information, changes to the original document, additional pages, substantial formatting changes, a different target language, or work outside the original order scope may be treated as a new service and may incur additional charges.

A customer preference regarding wording does not necessarily constitute a translation error where the original translation is accurate and linguistically appropriate.

8. Cancellations

You may request cancellation of an order by contacting us as soon as possible.

Cancellation eligibility depends on whether translation work has started and the amount of work already completed.

If translation work has not started, you may be eligible for a full refund, subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If work has already started, any applicable refund may be reduced based on the amount of work completed.

Once a translation has been completed and delivered, the translation service fee is generally non-refundable, subject to the correction and refund provisions described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed according to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

A refund may be considered where:

  • An order is cancelled before translation work begins.
  • We are unable to provide the service ordered.
  • A material translation issue cannot reasonably be corrected.
  • We materially fail to provide a service that was expressly guaranteed.
  • We otherwise determine that a refund is appropriate.

Refunds are not automatically provided for every cancellation or complaint.

Please review our Refund & Cancellation Policy for detailed information regarding cancellation, refunds, revisions, translation errors, rush orders, and other refund-related matters.

10. Immigration and Government Acceptance

USCIS Translation Service prepares translations for their intended use based on the information and requirements available to us at the time the order is completed.

However, USCIS, IRCC, courts, government agencies, educational institutions, employers, and other receiving organizations make their own decisions regarding documents submitted to them.

We do not guarantee:

  • Approval of an immigration application
  • Approval of a visa or petition
  • Approval of a citizenship application
  • Approval of a permanent residence application
  • Acceptance of a document by a particular government agency
  • A particular immigration or legal outcome

A certified translation does not guarantee approval or acceptance of the underlying application.

You are responsible for reviewing the current requirements of the organization receiving your documents and determining which documents and supporting materials must be submitted.

11. No Legal or Immigration Advice

USCIS Translation Service provides translation services and does not provide legal, immigration, tax, or other professional advice unless expressly stated otherwise.

Information provided on our website is for general informational purposes and should not be considered legal or immigration advice.

We do not determine:

  • Which immigration form you should file
  • Which documents you must submit
  • Whether you qualify for an immigration benefit
  • Whether your application will be approved
  • How you should respond to a government request
  • What legal or immigration strategy you should use

For legal or immigration advice, you should consult a qualified attorney or authorized immigration professional.

12. Certified Translations

Where a certified translation is ordered, we will provide the applicable certification associated with the selected service.

The specific certification format may vary depending on the intended use, language, document type, and requirements of the receiving organization.

A certified translation does not mean that USCIS, IRCC, a court, university, government agency, or other organization has pre-approved the translation or guaranteed acceptance of the client’s application.

You should review the current requirements of the organization receiving your documents before placing an order.

13. Confidentiality

We understand that translation orders may involve personal, legal, medical, financial, academic, and immigration-related documents.

We use reasonable measures to protect information submitted to us and use documents primarily for providing the requested services, communicating with you, processing payments, maintaining business records, and fulfilling applicable legal or contractual obligations.

We may use trusted service providers when necessary to operate our website, process payments, store files, communicate with customers, maintain security, or provide our services.

For additional information regarding how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information, please review our Privacy Policy.

14. Client Documents and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the documents and materials you provide to us.

You represent that you have the right or authorization to submit the documents for translation and that doing so does not violate another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights.

You grant us the limited permission necessary to access, process, reproduce, and translate your documents for the purpose of providing the services you requested and fulfilling applicable legal or contractual obligations.

Our website, branding, logos, graphics, written content, designs, software, and other proprietary materials remain the property of USCIS Translation Service or their respective owners and may not be reproduced, copied, modified, distributed, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

15. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our website and services only for lawful purposes.

You must not use our website or services to:

  • Submit fraudulent or intentionally misleading information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that the website or services are being misused.

We make reasonable efforts to keep our website information accurate and current.

However, website content may occasionally contain typographical errors, outdated information, pricing errors, or other inaccuracies.

We reserve the right to correct errors and update website content, service descriptions, pricing, availability, and other information when necessary.

Information on our website should not be treated as a substitute for official requirements published by USCIS, IRCC, courts, educational institutions, government agencies, or other receiving organizations.

17. Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party services for functions including:

  • Payment processing
  • Website hosting
  • File storage
  • Email communication
  • Analytics

Third-party providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third-party services except to the extent required by applicable law.

18. Website Availability

We strive to keep our website and online ordering services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Software updates
  • Technical problems
  • Hosting issues
  • Security incidents
  • Internet or telecommunications failures
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Temporary website unavailability does not automatically constitute a failure to provide an already-confirmed translation service.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, USCIS Translation Service will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services.

This may include losses resulting from:

  • Government application delays
  • Immigration decisions
  • Visa or petition denials
  • Missed filing deadlines
  • Loss of opportunity
  • Third-party service interruptions
  • Incorrect information provided by the client
  • Events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless USCIS Translation Service and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the website or services
  • Your violation of another person’s rights
  • Your submission of documents without the necessary authorization
  • Your unlawful use of our services

21. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our website or services if we reasonably believe that you have:

  • Violated these Terms
  • Used the service unlawfully
  • Provided fraudulent information
  • Attempted to compromise our systems
  • Failed to make required payments
  • Used our services in a manner that creates legal or security risks

Termination does not eliminate obligations that arose before termination, including payment obligations and provisions that by their nature should continue after termination.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices, legal requirements, or website functionality.

The latest version will be published on this page with the applicable Last Updated date.

Your continued use of the website or services after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

23. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of [State/Country], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be handled by courts having appropriate jurisdiction in [City, State/Country], subject to applicable law.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

The invalid provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intended purpose.

25. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and any other policies expressly incorporated into these Terms, constitute the agreement governing your use of our website and services.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and a specific written agreement between you and USCIS Translation Service, the specific written agreement will control to the extent of the conflict.
